Ruckus Wireless Discovers It's Not the Master of Its Domain
The Semi-Popular Ruckus Room Blog Forced out by Squatters, Moves to New Digs
SUNNYVALE, CA, January 28, 2008 – Ruckus Wireless sadly announced today that it has been forced to move its (probably not as popular as we think) Ruckus Room Blog to a new location, http://www.theruckusroom.net, after losing its original domain in a series of unfortunate events.
Created in 2005, the outspoken Ruckus Room blog has become compulsory reading for at least 10 tech-heads and closet Wi-Fi junkies, who are interested in the gory details of Wi-Fi development, topics like 802.11n, and the irreverent and biased views of the "Smart Wi-Fi" provider.
According to unconfirmed reports and unreliable sources, the Ruckus Room is believed to be frequented by one of the most eclectic groups of visitors in the history of the blogosphere. Hillary Clinton, Johnny Depp, Chaka Khan, Jay Rolls, John Chambers, Nicolas Sarkozy, Queen Latifah, Queen Elizabeth, the drummer from Queen, David Hasselhoff's daughter, Alan Greenspan, Gordon Brown, Gordon Ramsey, Victoria Beckham and her husband, Walter Mossberg, Dr. Phil, and even some of the Taliban are believed to have added the Ruckus Room to their bookmarks.
The original Ruckus Room domain lapsed over the Christmas holidays, at which point nefarious domain watchers grabbed it and held it for ransom. "After several Wi-Fi aficionados complained that the domain was unavailable, we realized that there were actual people reading our blog," said David Callisch, VP of marketing at Ruckus Wireless. "We just thought it was a trendy way for us to pronounce to the world things we couldn't say in a press release like 'we believe ultra-wideband will die a slow death.' But apparently, we were wrong, again."
Ruckus Wireless is also now looking for contributors to the Ruckus Room. Applicants must have an axe to grind, hyperbole to spew, or a profound position on the future of Wi-Fi and all things wireless. Any unreasonable viewpoint will be considered. Please contact the Ruckus Room at 408-504-5487. The Ruckus Room Blog believes itself to be an equal-opportunity Web site.
