Ruckus Wireless Names Rob Mustarde as Vice President of Worldwide Sales
SUNNYVALE, CA, June 5, 2006 – Ruckus Wireless today named Mr. Robert Mustarde as its new vice president of Worldwide Sales. Mr. Mustarde will now be responsible for business and sales strategy as well as scaling the sales and operational activities of the company on a worldwide basis.
In less than one year, since joining Ruckus Wireless as vice president of Sales for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Mr. Mustarde has won major deals with some of Europe’s leading providers of IPTV and has propagated the company’s “smart Wi-Fi” technology with leading network equipment manufacturers.
“In a very short period of time, Rob has demonstrated unprecedented success in building our business throughout Europe,” said Ms. Selina Lo, president and CEO of Ruckus Wireless. “Now, Rob will be chartered with translating that same success to the more nascent U.S. market and helping to scale our company from a startup to an emerging concern.”
Mr. Mustarde has a long history of success in the high-tech and networking markets. Mr. Mustarde joined Ruckus Wireless from Riverbed Technology where he started its European operations. Prior to Riverbed, Mr. Mustarde ran the Northern European operations for Peribit, acquired by Juniper Networks in 2005 for $337 million. Mr. Mustarde was also the vide president of Sales (EMEA) at Alteon WebSystems which was acquired by Nortel in 2000 for $7.8 billion. Mr. Mustarde has also held senior sales positions at 3Com Corporation, Bytex Datacom and Cabletron Systems.
Mr. Mustarde has an Honors Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Bristol. He will be based in Ruckus Wireless corporate headquarters in the United States.
