Sunway University Rolls Out Smarter Wi-Fi

Ruckus Wireless Solutions Make Top of the Class for Leading Malaysian University

SELANGOR, MALAYSIA – December 19, 2016 – Ruckus Wireless, a part of Brocade, today announced the deployment of 450 Ruckus ZoneFlexTM R700 802.11ac wave 2 Smart Wi-Fi access points (APs) at Sunway University in Selangor, Malaysia. The deployment will deliver high quality wireless connectivity to staff and students across a number of buildings on the Sunway campus. The entire Sunway campus is home to more than 18,000 students and staff members.

ZoneFlex R700 APs are designed to provide connectivity within challenging and ever-changing radio frequency environments. The APs use Ruckus proprietary BeamFlexTM adaptive antenna technology, which mitigate radio interference, noise and network performance issues, and improve application flows. This enables increased performance and range, clear video, voice communications and maximized power efficiency.

Sunway University completed tests with a number of Wi-Fi providers, but in the end it became clear that Ruckus was the stand-out favorite.
