Altai Technologies Partners with Ruckus Wireless to Provide State-of-the-Art Wireless Broadband Solutions

All-rounded WiFi Solutions Adopted in Wireless Sarawak Project

Hong Kong, March 27, 2008 – The U.S. based next generation WiFi company, Ruckus Wireless and the leading outdoor WiFi solution provider, Altai technologies today announced that they have entered a strategic joint partnership. Through this partnership, Ruckus will integrate its' advanced metro-WiFi modems into Altai's A8 WiFi cellular system.

Fusing the longer reach smart radio technology of Altai's A8 base station with Ruckus' high performance access point, Altai offers cost-effective metro-scale WiFi solution to network operators for a wide range of broadband applications. Internet service providers can now offer ubiquitous wireless broadband internet connection to subscribers in both indoor and outdoor areas.

Using Ruckus' advanced WiFi modem, the WiFi signals form by Altai's long range A8 base station in the outdoor area can be received indoor by internet users. This advanced, all-rounded, and quick WiFi solution has been adopted in the Wireless Sarawak project in Malaysia. Sarawak is the largest state in Malaysia. Currently, over 13 major cities of Sarawak have adopted this outdoor wireless WiFi solution to blanket the city with wireless broadband network. The residents of Sarawak can enjoy reliable yet affordable wireless internet access connection in every corner of its cities.

With the initial success of the Malaysia market, the same solution will be deployed in other countries in Asia, like Vietnam, Cambodia, Philippine, Thailand and Indonesia.
