SYNNEX Corporation Takes New Ruckus ZoneFlex System to Mid-market Enterprise Customer Base
SUNNYVALE, CA, October 22, 2007 – Ruckus Wireless, credited with innovating patented Smart Wi-Fi technology, today announced a strategic distribution partnership with SYNNEX Corporation, a leading business process services company that will bring the new Ruckus ZoneFlex™ Smart Wireless LAN system to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) throughout North America.
Under the terms of the agreement, SYNNEX will distribute the full line of Ruckus ZoneFlex products, allowing Ruckus Wireless to expand its reach into new mid-market enterprises and vertical markets.

Available immediately, the Ruckus ZoneFlex system is offered through SYNNEX’ Technology Solutions Division (TSD).

Initial Installations Prove ZoneFlex Delivers Unmatched Value for Money
Introduced in May, the Ruckus ZoneFlex system is one of the world’s first Smart Wireless LAN solutions built with the SME channel in mind. A centralized wireless LAN system, ZoneFlex uniquely combines patented smart antenna array technology, quality of service, automatic security and wireless meshing to extend the range, simplify the operation and increase the reliability of wireless LANs.
Initial installations of ZoneFlex at enterprises, such as the Holiday Inn Express and Comfort Suites in Altanta, have shown that Smart Wi-Fi delivers twice the coverage and performance over conventional systems at half the price. Fewer APs deliver better range, coverage, and automatic interference avoidance while providing predictable performance and dependable Wi-Fi signal quality.
“The environment at these 100-plus room hotels was challenging due to the construction, topology and our inability to run Ethernet cabling everywhere,” said Michael Gompers, president of OneMedia Wireless, one of the first Ruckus Wireless Big Dog VARs to install the ZoneFlex system.
“We tried conventional Wi-Fi systems but found we couldn’t provide adequate coverage or performance. With the Ruckus ZoneFlex system we were able to provide ubiquitous coverage, increase performance from 100 Kbps to 1 Mbps and install the entire system across three 18,000 square foot floors of a single hotel in under three hours,” Gompers concluded.
