Ruckus Wireless Scores Double at the Wireless Broadband Innovation Awards


WIRELESS EVENT, LONDON, ENGLAND, May 18, 2006 – Ruckus Wireless today announced that its advanced home multimedia system, MediaFlex, has been named Best Consumer Wireless Product at the Wireless Broadband Innovation (WBI) Awards 2006. Selina Lo, president and CEO of Ruckus Wireless, was also named as winner in the Wireless Individual Achievement category. Lo becomes the first female to win the award.

The WBI Awards recognise leadership, innovation and excellence in wireless broadband. Ruckus Wireless’ smart Wi-Fi system solves the growing problem of how to reliably distribute digital voice, video and data services throughout subscriber homes and these awards recognise Ruckus’ position as a leader in smart Wi-Fi technology.

Selina Lo is widely acknowledged for her expertise in building and marketing high technology networking startups. Before founding Ruckus, she helped build and sell Alteon WebSystems to Nortel Networks for US $7.8 billion. At Ruckus, she has already struck deals with PCCW in Hong Kong, Magnet Entertainment in Ireland, Pioneer in the US and Maxisat in Finland.
