Ruckus Wireless Names Robert Mustarde to Lead European Operations
SUNNYVALE, CA, August 15, 2005 – Ruckus Wireless today named Mr. Robert Mustarde as its new vice president of Sales for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Reporting to Ms. Selina Lo, president and CEO, Mr. Mustarde will be responsible for establishing Ruckus Wireless’s European operations and bringing the company’s “smart Wi-Fi” technology to broadband providers rolling out IPTV and triple play services throughout Europe.
Ruckus Wireless has innovated a new way to reliably transmit IP-based streaming digital video over standard Wi-Fi. The new products and technology leverages smart antenna technology to automatically steer Wi-Fi signals around interference, picking the best path at any given time to ensure flicker-free video transmission.

Mr. Mustarde is joining Ruckus Wireless from Riverbed Technology where he started its European operations. Prior to Riverbed, Mr. Mustarde ran the Northern European operations for Peribit, acquired by Juniper Networks in 2005 for $337 million. Mr. Mustarde was also the vide president of Sales (EMEA) at Alteon WebSystems which was acquired by Nortel in 2000 for $7.8 billion. Mr. Mustarde has also held senior sales positions at 3Com Corporation, Bytex Datacom and Cabletron Systems.
Mr. Mustarde has an Honors Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Bristol. He will be based in London, England.
