Reporting to the VP of Marketing the Director of EMEA marketing is responsible for the worldwide execution of outbound marketing programs and activities for Ruckus Wireless, a fast-growing and privately-held wireless LAN company.

A hands-on position, the Director of EMEA Marketing will work with Ruckus in-region sales staff to develop and execute programs that will drive incremental business for the company and its channel partners.

Duties for this position include, but are not limited to, working with channel partners on marketing initiatives, executing product launches in region, developing regional-specific lead generation programs, generating customer case studies and acting as the EMEA spokesperson for events and media relations activities.

A high-visibility position, the Director of EMEA Marketing requires a seasoned computer networking executive with 7 years of industry experience in the wireless networking industry. Knowledge of the basic principles of computer networking, demonstrable writing skills and an aggressive attitude is a must. An undergraduate degree in journalism, marketing, communications and/or public relations is required.

Regional Pre-Sales Technical Manager South Africa & Russia

The role is to support all technical pre-sales activities in the assigned territory as well augmenting existing EMEA support where needed to retain the good name of Ruckus. The TM is technical subject matter expert on Ruckus solution offering and it is their sole responsibility to take the initiative to learn how to configure and use our products.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical presentations , partner training and demonstrations of our solution to prospects.
  • Build and retain excellent partner relationships in region
  • Work with Product Management to make sure that features and needs of the region are represented relative to opportunity.
  • Conduct customer visits and survey to determine the required equipment in large deals or training resellers to be self sufficient.
  • Provide the sales rep with the required equipment configuration for quotations.
  • Understand how Ruckus’s technology compares to our key competitors and how to position us versus them.
  • Develop the technical decision makers within a sales cycle and win their trust to influence the technical specifications to favor a Ruckus's solution.
  • Work with our Technical Support Center team to help resolve escalated customers issues that need local field involvement.
  • Work with Marketing and Sales to support tradeshow and press activities
  • Ensure everything possible technically is done to hit the target set for the regional sales teams.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ Years experience in a Presales environment working for a network equipment manufacturer.
  • Ability to present effectively in front of large or small groups of people.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft business applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Advanced knowledge of Networking technologies including, switching and routing, TCP/IP protocols, network security and related authentication and encryption technologies.
  • Advanced knowledge of Wifi technologies preferred
  • Significant travel may be required.

Applicants should have experience in selling IT products to high-level level management and other decision makers. Knowledge of setting up and selling through distribution and VAR partners is important and a good knowledge of VARs/distributors in the territory is essential. A good networking knowledge is mandatory and a reasonable understanding of Wi-Fi is advantageous. This person will preferably be able to demonstrate some technical “hands-on” capability in terms of demonstrating products to resellers. solid understanding of large channel organizations and integrated solution selling and be comfortable engaging with and be able to work with cross functional teams. It would be an advantage to have demonstrated experience in the creation of channel strategies and successful execution of Channel partner business plans including contract negotiations, sales, marketing and services go to market plans. It is extremely useful to have knowledge and experience with large outdoor radio deployments.
