QA Automation Engineer

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our growing test automation team.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop test automation scripts to validate Ruckus’ Wi-Fi equipment
• Contribute to continuous improvement of our test automation infrastructure
• Execute automation suites to validate software builds
• Identify, debug, and validate software defects

Qualifications:

• At lease five years of test automation experiences in data networking environment
• Good understanding of IP protocol with strong VLAN/ACL knowledge.
• Knowing at least 2 of the following languages: itcl, c++, java, python, ruby, smalltalk; python highly desired
• Working knowledge of web protocol: http and html and understand how xpath works and how to apply it.
• Working knowledge of relational database
• Working knowledge of regular expression to match patterns of strings.
• Web browser automation development
• Network management protocol: SNMP, tr-69, tr-98
• Strong knowledge of Object-oriented concept

QA Manager

We are seeking a QA manager based in Ruckus Wireless’ Shenzhen Development Center. Reporting to Asia QA director, a successful candidate will be managing two QA groups in NMS and Wi-Fi AP testing. The job scope includes building QA test teams (hiring and motivating and growth test engineers, and managing day-to-day QA projects. The QA manager will work closely within the global QA management team as well as cross-functional team to ensure on-time delivery of high quality products for carrier and enterprise customers. The manager will also work with partners and customers on as needed basis.

Qualifications:

• At least a bachelor degree in computer science or related fields
• At least five years of hands-on software and system test experiences in major telecommunication and data communication companies
• At least two years of managing test teams of 10+ engineers, including hiring and team building
• Familiar with communication technologies such as L2/L3 IP switching, DHCP, NAT, VLAN. Familiarity with Wi-Fi technologies (802.11a/b/g/n, AP, AC etc.) is highly desirable
• Test experiences with network management systems (TR-069 or SNMP) in telecommunication industry
• Highly motivated in pursuing engineering excellence and high quality delivery of Ruckus products
• Proficient in project management, including resource allocation, prioritizing and trade-off of multiple simultaneous projects
• Proven record of team building, motivating, and growing QA engineers
• Good communication skills and good English (reading, writing, and speaking)

Senior QA Engineer

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our growing QA team.

Responsibilities:

• Support QA manager to develop test schedule, resource and lab planning
• Act as project prime to identify technology and schedule issue, and develop mitigation accordingly; trace and report project status
• Participate in all QA activities including test plan development, test bed design/maintenance, execution of test cases and regression
• Interact with internal teams and customers to resolve problems and improve product quality

Qualifications:

• At least five years of system test experiences in telecom or datacom industry
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent engineering fields
• Expert knowledge and hands-on experiences in network technologies (TCP/IP, L2/L3 switching, routing, VLAN, DHCP, IPv6…)
• Substantial test experiences in wireless products (AP and AC) and technologies (802.11a/b/g/n, WLAN, mesh, security, QOS, voice)
• Expert knowledge of popular test equipment for traffic generation, capture, and analysis (Chariot, Veriwave)
• Substantial ability to debug complex software systems and wireless network

Senior Hardware Electronic Test Engineer

As a member of the Ruckus Wireless engineering team, you will work with the hardware design team in Sunnyvale, CA, to test and document newly designed and existing hardware to verify design margin and robustness. Products include indoor and outdoor 802.11 Access Points and Controllers.

Responsibilities

• Develop the overall hardware electrical test strategy. Testing may include:
  • Signal integrity
  • Timing analysis
  • 4-corner and thermal analysis
  • Reliability: HALT/HASS
  • Interoperability
• Purchase and set up test equipment as needed to support testing.
• Work closely with Hardware Engineering to draft test plans and document test results in English.
• Manage testing, both in-house and through 3rd party test labs. Meet overall project schedule.
• Investigate test outcomes. Escalate any failures to Hardware Engineering. Participate in root cause analysis.
• Support manufacturing line in Shenzhen.

Qualifications

• 10 years experience in relevant roles.
• Experience with electrical lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, signal generators, etc.
• Understanding of hardware test methodologies, including development of test cases/suites, performance monitoring, test automation, and data analysis.
• Extensive test and troubleshooting experience in a research and development environment.
• Experience with schematic capture (i.e Orcad) and PCB layout tools (i.e. Allegro). Experience with circuit analysis and circuit layout tools.
• Experience in writing product test plans and reports in English.
• Knowledge and experience with international RF and Safety regulatory requirements is desired.
• Successful applicant must be bilingual in Mandarin and English.
• Ability to travel freely to US and Taiwan.

Senior SNMP/Embedded Engineer

Ruckus Wireless – a leading Wi-Fi product development company based in Sunnyvale, California with engineering development offices in Shenzhen and Taipei - is seeking embedded software engineers with SNMP development experience for its Shenzhen Development Center. His/her responsibilities will follow Ruckus product development procedures and milestones to design and develop cutting edge embedded software for Ruckus Access Point and Wireless LAN Controller products which are used by service provider and carrier customers worldwide. He/she will also be the liaison between network management team and embedded development team. The successful candidate must have strong embedded programming background, extensive SNMP knowledge, and can work with talented people all over the world as part of the Ruckus engineering team. He/she can work closely with software, hardware, & test teams to develop products that lead the wireless industry.

Qualifications:

• BS/BA in CS/EE or equivalent; advanced degree a plus
• Strong hands-on experience with software development in C/C++
• At least 3 years working experience in designing and developing SNMP in telecommunication industry
• Thorough knowledge in embedded Linux development and/or real-time OS
• Experience of 802.11/Wi-Fi area and knowledge on authentication protocols (RADIUS, LDAP) are preferred
• Basic knowledge of computer networking and TCP/IP
• Experience on designing and developing CLI/Telnet management in network products development is desired

Smart Phone Provision/Application Engineer

His/her initial responsibilities will follow Ruckus product development procedures and milestones to design and develop provision applications on the various smart phone platforms to facilitate users to access Wi-Fi networks. In the long run, he/she will design and develop smart phone applications that meet broader users’ needs. The successful candidate must have strong embedded programming background, be able to perform independent research, have broad understanding of various smart phone platforms, and can work with talented people all over the world as part of the Ruckus engineering team. He/she can work closely with software, hardware, & test teams to develop products that lead the wireless industry.

Qualifications:

• BS/BA in CS/EE or equivalent; advanced degree a plus
• Good experience on software development in C/C++ and software development tool etc.
• Smart phone development experience is highly desired.
• Knowledgeable in creating GUI dialogs using C/C++ and C++ Class format is preferred.
• Familiar with XML parsing and common security configuration, such as WEP64, WEB128, WPA, WPA2, WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK, 802.1x EAP

Test Manager

As a member of the Ruckus Wireless engineering team, you will build and manage a Hardware Design Verification Testing (DVT) group in the Ruckus Wireless Shenzhen office. You will be responsible for testing and documenting newly designed and existing hardware to verify design margin and robustness. Products include indoor and outdoor 802.11 Access Points and Controllers. This position will report to the Sunnyvale, California headquarters. Business will be conducted in English.

Responsibilities:

• Recruit and manage a team of Test Engineers (3 initially).
  • RF, mechanical, communications, power supply, digital, compliance
• Understanding of the test purpose as well as the process.
• Develop the overall hardware test strategy. Testing may include:
  • Electrical: signal integrity, timing analysis, 4-corner
  • Environmental: IPXX (Water, Dust), thermal, humidity, vibration, drop
  • Reliability: HALT/HASS
  • Interoperability
• Certifications for EMI and compliance for many countries
• Purchase and set up test equipment as needed to support testing.
• Work closely with Hardware Engineering to draft test plans (everything in English).
