Embedded Software Lead Engineer

Embedded Software Manager

Mechanical Engineer, DVT Support
As a member of the Ruckus Wireless engineering team, you will have the responsibility for the Mechanical Engineering aspects of the hardware design verification testing process in the Ruckus Wireless Shenzhen office. Under the guidance of Ruckus Wireless headquarters Hardware Engineering management, you will be responsible for the environmental testing of new and existing hardware to verify compliance with specified environmental requirements. Products include indoor and outdoor Access Points and Controllers.
Responsibilities:
- Generate environmental test plans, conduct the tests and document the results
- Environmental tests to include: vibration, shock, temperature, humidity, salt atmosphere, wind loading, solar radiation, ingress protection and ISTA transportation.
- Design test fixtures as necessary for the testing
- Conduct thermal and vibration surveys on assemblies utilizing thermocouples and accelerometers
- Identify, procure and set up test equipment to support testing.
- Select local test facilities for tests that cannot be performed in-house and monitor their work during testing
- Work closely with headquarters Hardware Engineering to draft written test plans in English
- Conduct environmental testing, both in-house and through 3rd party test labs.

Qualifications:

QA Performance Testing Engineer
We are looking for one experienced performance test engineers to join our NMS (network management system) test team. The successful candidates will participate in validation of a sophisticated network management system for wireless products.
Responsibilities:
- Design test plan, test schema and figure out the networking topology, define the test points according to performance requirement.
- develop test cases based on PRD, performance specs and test plan
- configure test network and test equipment according to scaling environment
- execute test cases and report software defects

Senior QA Engineer
Ruckus Wireless is seeking a senior QA Engineer to join our rapidly expanding QA team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for project planning, test bed setup, status report, support to PoC trial and request from customer site, and test execution of various Ruckus Wireless products (E.g. 11a/b/g/n APs, indoor/outdoor APs, single/dual band APs, Enterprise/Carrier AC…)
Responsibilities:
- Support QA manager to develop test schedule, resource and lab planning;
- Act as project prime to identify technology and schedule issue, and develop mitigation accordingly; trace and report project status
- Participate in all QA activities including test plan development, test bed design/maintenance, execution of test cases and regression.
- Interact with internal teams and customers to resolve problems and improve product quality;

Senior RF Test Engineer, DVT
As a member of the Ruckus Wireless engineering team, you will take have the responsibility for the RF & Antenna aspects of the Hardware Design Verification process in the Ruckus Wireless Shenzhen office. Products include indoor and outdoor 802.11 Access Points and Controllers.
Responsibilities:
- Conceive test processes, develop test plans, and execute plans and document results for:
- RF aspects of the products and potentially communications and regulatory compliance
- Surge protection for outdoor products
- Define processes and procedures for RF testing tasks, developing RF test strategies
- Work closely with Hardware Engineering to draft and review test plans (everything in English).
- Proficient in set-up, calibration, utilization, and data processing for designs with familiarity of RF and antenna product optimizations for new designs
- Check RF engineering drawings, perform design reviews, and review test reports to provide recommendations
- Execute RF and antenna relevant tests effectively and efficiently according to the test plans and requests from internal and external customers
- Coordinate activities of the RF engineers based in HQ and local engineers as required.
