These technologies are integrated within Ruckus products to enable the reliable, secure and extended transmission of streaming IP video, digital IP voice and data applications. Combined, these technologies ensure the predictable performance essential for multimedia content delivery and wireless broadband access. They also uniquely provide the manageability and control required for service providers to include home Wi-Fi as part of their managed services infrastructure.
SmartRF represents the industry’s most advanced Wi-Fi smart antenna implementation. Combining a compact internal antenna array with expert control software, SmartRF continuously ranks the antenna configurations for each receiving device and reconfigures itself in real-time to bypass interference and physical barriers.
SmartRF steers Wi-Fi signals around interference to ensure predictable performance at a greater range. It also eliminates dead spots, increasing the range and performance of the Wi-Fi network from 200 to 300 percent.
High-gain directional antennas provide up to 9dBi gain and 18dB interference rejection. Highly sensitive antenna elements also deliver the industry’s most sensitive Wi-Fi receiving capabilities. SmartRF allows long-range reception of Wi-Fi signals down to -100 dBm. This results in the most reliable Wi- Fi systems available today.
Smart QoS is a sophisticated traffic management engine that provides a number of unique functions such as content parsing, application classification, quality of service control and reliable multicast delivery.
SmartSec is a patent-pending mechanism for automating client-side security by dynamically generating and configuring encryption keys and installing them on client devices without any user intervention.
SmartMesh changes the fundamental economics of WLAN deployment. SmartMesh uses Ruckus-patented Smart Wi-Fi technology for creating long-range, reliable and adaptive Wi-Fi trunk connections between access points - obviating the need for cabling Ethernet to every access point.
