- Selina Lo - President and CEO
- Ms. Lo is known for her ability to capitalize on emerging trends, create new markets and innovate new technology. As CEO of Ruckus Wireless, she has established the company, and its products, in two short years, as the de-facto wireless standard for whole-home distribution of triple play services. Previously Ms. Lo was the vice president within Nortel Networks' Content Business Unit, which acquired Alteon WebSystems, a public networking equipment supplier, in 2000 for $7.8 billion. At Alteon, Ms. Lo served as vice president of Marketing from its inception through IPO and the Nortel acquisition. Prior to Alteon, Ms. Lo was the co-founder and vice president of marketing at Centillion Networks and later, the Centillion Business Unit within Bay Networks, after Bay acquired the company in 1994. Ms. Lo's career also includes several management roles at Network Equipment Technologies and Hewlett Packard. She holds a B.A. degree in Computer Science from the University of California at Berkeley. She has a lot of shoes.
- William Kish - Co-founder and CTO
- A co-founder of Ruckus Wireless, Mr. Kish has extensive experience in developing networking systems with specific expertise in system and software architecture. His work includes development of 802.11, ATM, Ethernet, IP, SONET and optical DWDM networking equipment. He's a subject matter expert in embedded software systems and software development. Prior to Ruckus, Mr. Kish was a member of the technical staff at Lightera/Ciena. He has also held principal engineering positions at Berkeley Networks and FORE Systems. He holds a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. He climbs rocks.
- Tom Kais - Chief Financial Officer
- Mr. Kais has over 10 years of experience as a senior financial executive for a wide range of publicly and privately-held technology companies including Quantum3D, NextG Networks, and Santel Networks. He is widely considered an expert at helping emerging high-growth companies transition from early to growth stages and has helped companies in all areas of financial management and reporting from raising various sourcing of financing to mergers and acquisitions. He doesn’t care for Paris Hilton but does have a passion for all things Porsche.
- Steve Martin - Vice President of Engineering
- With more than 15 years of engineering experience in the networking industry with companies such as Airespace (acquired by Cisco Systems), 3Com and US Robotics Corporation, Steve is an expert in networking hardware and software design and development as well as life cycle product management. He is known for developing state-of-the-art wireless technologies and successfully bringing those technologies to market. Before joining Ruckus, Martin was an engineering executive within Cisco's wireless networking group. Prior to that, Martin was VP of hardware and engineering for Airespace. Additionally, Martin held several senior management positions with CommWorks Corporation which was acquired by UTStarcom in 2003. He holds a Master of Science in Telecommunications Systems from DePaul University. He loves fast cars, particularly black ones.
- Bart Burstein - Vice President of Product Management and Business Deveolpment
- Mr. Burstein has over 20 years of experience in strategic development and business operations of high technology companies. Most recently, Mr. Burstein was the vice president of business development for Nortel's Intelligent Internet Business Unit. He joined Nortel through the multi-billion acquisition of Alteon WebSystems. At Alteon, Mr. Burstein helped negotiate and establish key strategic partnerships, direct international sales efforts and lead OEM operations. Mr. Burstein has held a number of senior management positions with a variety of fast growing companies including UB Networks, Maspar Corporation and Evans & Sutherland Computer Corporation. He drives a mini-Cooper.
- Rob Mustarde - Vice President of Worldwide Sales
- Mr. Mustarde has over 15 years of sales, marketing and management experience in the high technology and networking industries. Prior to joining Ruckus he served as the vice president (EMEA) Riverbed Technology where he started up Riverbed's European operations. Previously, he created and directed the Northern European region for Peribit Networks (now part of Juniper). Before Peribit Robert was the vice president of Sales (EMEA) for Alteon WebSystems where he introduced them into the European market and developed the business to a run rate of over US$60 million per year. Mr. Mustarde's experience includes management positions with 3Com Corporation, Bytex Datacom and Cabletron Systems. He has an Honours Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Bristol in the UK. He likes Rugby but is not very good at it.
- Kyung Yi - Vice President of Customer Advocacy
- With 20 years of data communications and networking experience, Mr. Yi direct the company’s customer advocacy organization and activites on a global scale. His expertise centers on helping emerging technology companies develop world-class customer advocacy structures and organizations. His experience includes building customer advocacy and support structures for leading technology companies such as Stoke, Nortel Networks, Alteon WebSystems and Centillion Networks. His expertise extends beyond customer advocacy to include software development and software engineering. He’s held software engineering positions with Cisco Systems, N.E.T. and Vitalink. Mr. Yi holds a Bechelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the California State University at Hayward. He believes in very profound things.
- Fred Harried - Vice President of Operations
- As VP of Operations, Mr. Harried has over 20 years of experience in manufacturing , operations, material planning and procurement and logistics experience. Mr. Harried has experience in constructing and managing large-scale offshore manufacturing operations and working with third-party contract manufacturing. He’s held senior management positions and has extensive experience at some of the world’s leading technology companies including 2Wire, Western Digital, TeraStor and Seagate Technology. He has beautiful big hair, likes artichokes and hails from Watsonville, California.
- David Callisch - Vice President of Marketing
- With over 15 years of experience in Marketing and Marketing Communications, Mr. Callisch has focused his efforts on the networking hardware industry. He has extensive experience helping early stage (Series A) networking startups identify the market opportunities, establish defensible differentiation, and create a unique brand. Most recently, Mr. Callisch was the Director of Communications at Aruba Networks, helping Aruba launch the company and build the wireless LAN switching market segment. Prior to that Mr. Callisch was the Director of Communications at Allegro Networks, a failed supplier of carrier routing equipment. Mr. Callisch has also held marketing positions at Alteon WebSystems, StrataCom, SynOptics/Bay Networks and BT North America. He has David Cassidy hair issues and believes that he could get Scarlett Johansson to date him if he had the opportunity.
